Hi all,
If you or one of your clients need to bump up a credit score easily and QUICKLY...go to www.optoutorescreen.com and sign up to stop receiving credit card apps and junk mail via snail mail. It ALSO helps the Environment with less junk mail!
Every time you get home from work and there is a pile of mail at your door...what do you do with it? You immediately weed out the, "You have been approved for $100,000" from Visa or Mastercard.
DO YOU REALIZE THAT EVERY TIME YOU GET AN APPLICATION OR PRE-APPROVAL IT PERFORMS A Soft Pull ON YOUR CREDIT?!!!!
Signing up on this website will make these lovely mailers GO AWAY!
I signed up 3 weeks ago and have not gotten any mail in the past week at ALL from credit companies. That is one benefit! The other is that your credit will go up slightly...especially helpful if you are on the line with your credit score and are having a hard time qualifying for a loan!
This info is strictly informational and given out to Realtors/Mortgage Professionals that may want to use it. I in no way want to be sued for any content that I write, so I like to throw this sunny disclaimer in here :)

Tracey,
When I went to this website, there are many additional sites from which to choose. Are you saying to register with all those links? Also, the website you gave me froze up my computer. Just let me know if you have a better address where it's one place you think we should register.
Thanks!
I was able to opt out of the pre-approved credit card offers on-line, but a lot of the other companies require written action. However thank you Tracey as I hope I this will reduce the number of pre-approved credit cards I get each week in the mail.
You have a typo on the website, it is www.optoutprescreen.com
I encourage my clients to opt out so they don't become a trigger lead

There is info on the faq or something along those lines that says this doesn't help your score. I went to a prepaid legal seminar and this is one of their hooks. When I read thru the site, it showed that it doesn't actually help your score to opt out.
Thanks for sharing - great post!
Thanks! I had no idea that stuff actually had an effect on your credit score.
Tracey-Great post, Thanks.
Soft Pulls do not affect your credit scores.. But it is nice to submit an opt out.. I hate getting these, and have not recieved one since opting out a couple years ago.
